Honda unveiled its newest North American automobile model the Fit. The Fit is already being sold in non-American markets but hopes that selling its latest model in the US market will raise sales by 4%. With gas prices at over a $3 a gallon in many US cities, the Fit is expected to be very popular.
In the South Island of New Zealand near the city of Dunedin, the electricity company named TrustPower is thinking of installing a wind farm. The wind towers would cost NZ$500,000,000 (US$347,000,000) and would generate enough electricity to power 150,000 homes.

A new study revealed that not only do the owners face heart problems, diabetes and arthritis but their pets do too. The survey of British pet owners showed that about 30% of their pets were overweight and just like their owners, they gained extra weight over the holiday season.
Mr. Grubbs sea kayak tours in the famous Galapagos Islands will start this year. Passengers will paddle on small sea kayaks and camp on deserted beaches. Dr. Graham Watkins released a statement that the new idea for bringing tourists in remote areas by kayak is a “cause for concern” because of the harmful environmental impact that it may have on the area.
The new Beyond Smart Microwave Oven priced at US$238 helps you know how long to cook your food. A scanner on the oven reads the bar code on food packages and automatically sets the correct cooking times and power. In addition to the 4,000 bar codes that are already stored in the system, the microwave remembers new codes that you scan.
