Basic Verbs - Present Simple

Listen to four convesations using basic verbs.

Conversation #1

A: What do you do in the morning?
B: I wake up, I take a shower, I get dressed, and I eat breakfast.
A: When do you get up?
B: I get up at 6.
A: Wow, that’s early.
B: I know! I like mornings though!

Conversation #2

A: What do you do during the day?
B: Well, I go to school. I teach students.
A: What do you teach?
B: I teach math. What do you do?
A: I work at a bike shop!
B: Really, what do you do at the shop?
A: I fix and sell bikes!
B: Sounds fun!

Conversation #3

A: What do you do at lunch?
B: I eat with my friends. And you?
A: I eat in the park.
B: That’s nice.
A: Yeah, I like to read on my lunch break.
B: Ooh, what do you read?
A: I read about history.
B: Interesting.

Conversation #4

A: What do you do on the weekend?
B: I play sports at the park. How about you?
A: I study at the library.
B: Oh, right! You love books.
A: So, what sports do you play?
B: I play soccer with my friends.

Negative Contraction

I don't eat cereal.
I don't work in town.
I don't live by my work.

Yes / No Questions

Do you eat at home?
Yes, I do. / Yes, I eat at home.
No, I don't. / No, I don't eat at home.
