Fitness Plan
Everyone knows the importance of exercise, but many of us complain that we just don’t have time. Well, what if you we’re the president of the United States? These days, Barack Obama no longer has much time for hobbies, entertainment, or even friends. Since taking office however, he has maintained his commitment to keeping fit. Exercise makes him more energetic. If he misses a work out, he just doesn’t feel his best.
The President usually starts his day in the gym. It’s a place where he can release stress, clear his head and focus on the coming day’s events. His typical routine includes jogging and weight training for at least 45 minutes, six days a week. He is also a huge basketball fan. He was a member of his high school basketball team, and still plays as often as possible. “Basketball has taught him to think quickly on his feet.”
The president believes it’s important to balance work and health. According to Obama, “If you really want to succeed in your career and in your relationships, you need to carve out time to take care of your body as well.” If the busiest man in the world can make time for fitness, so can we!
