Diego: Well, as I mentioned they have yoga, and I've took yoga like three or four times. The instructors really, really good and they have kick boxing because my friends doing that and he said it's really intense.
Rebecca: OK, what about spin classes? I do like to ride on the bike.
Diego: I've seen some bikes around, so I'm pretty sure they have it.
Rebecca: OK, alright. And how much does it all cost?
Diego: It costs.... Well, I'm paying the monthly fee so it's like forty dollars a month but I think you can get a discount if you pay with your credit card.
Rebecca: OK, so otherwise you just pay with a credit card or can you pay with cash?
Diego: You can pay cash every month. That's what I'm doing and if I introduce you to the gym, we get free coupons for coffee.
Rebecca: Ah, lovely.
Diego: Yeah.
Rebecca: OK, That's great. Alright. When are you going next?
Diego: I'm going actually, at five pm today.
Rebecca: OK, I'll come with you.
Diego: OK, perfect.
Rebecca: Great.
Diego: Make sure you bring a bath towel and your sports shoes, your indoor shoes.
Rebecca: OK.
Diego: OK.
Rebecca: I shall do.
And there are some random classes there, too.
Random means not carefully planned or selected. Notice the following:
- The teacher likes to call on students randomly.
- When I travel, I usually just pick some random hotel to stay in. I do not put much thought into it.
Well, as I mentioned they have yoga
This phrase means you are repeating information you alread said. Notice the following:
- As I mentioned before, you are always welcome to dinner.
- As the boss already mentioned, we must work harder.
He said it's really intense.
Something that is intense has a high degree of some quality. Notice the following:
- This heat is intense. (Very hot)
- That class is intense. (Very hard or serious)
So otherwise you just pay with a credit card.
This refers to an outcome or alternative if something does not happen. Notice the following:
- You must pay, otherwise you cannot attend the class.
- We have to arrive early, otherwise we will not get a seat.
I shall do.
This is a formal way of saying, I will do something. Notice the following:
- So, I shall see you tonight.
- We shall do our best.
