Every single day, for as long as I can remember, my pop has fed magpies at his front doorstep. Each morning they would fly down from their nest nearby in a tree. And come to his grass in the backyard and squawk and squaw until he would come out and give them their food.
And sometimes, when he would not be able to hear them, they would come right up to his front doorstep, stand at the door, and squawk, and squawk and squawk until he would come feed them. He usually gives them mince meat or biscuits, but they keep getting fed every single morning because of them coming up to the door and squawking. They're like his pets, and they're just wild birds.
