Where does your best friend live?

Lesson Activities

Hi, I'm Olivia. I'm from Washington DC and my question is, where does your best friend live?

My best friend lives in New York City right now. We are childhood best friends. I've known her probably since I was five, and we were best friends since we were eight, and we both loved where we grew up, but did not see ourselves living there. So I moved to London and she moved to New York City, and I really hope that one day we end up living in the same city together. I also want to live in New York City, and she also kind of wants to live in London, and so hopefully one of us makes the choice to go somewhere and we might be able to live there together because texting and calling isn't the same as being there with the person. So she loves New York City, though that's honestly where she's thriving and she's doing really well. She's got a great job, so I'm really proud of her, but I do miss her and I do wish that we were in the same location.
