Hello everyone, my name is Gian and I'm from Brazil. My question right now is, what is taboo in my country?
Oh, I love this question so much. I am very always interested in knowing little things about different cultures like this. There are so many I can think of, off top of my head. Nothing is that big that people would be extremely offended that I think or, you know, is like super superstitious. Brazil is a very big and diverse country from, you know, cultures from all over the world, from Europeans to Africans, even Japanese in there so all those things kind of mix up in a very big melting pot of culture and taboos. But the first thing that came to my mind, funny enough, is it's kind of considered rude to arrive either early or right at the time at a dinner party, for example.
Often in Brazil when you say dinner it's nine and you're going to a friend's house, it's customary to be like 20 minutes, half an hour late, it's customary, not too late but definitely not too early, for some reason. That's the first and funniest taboo I can think of about Brazilian culture. I hope to see you guys next time. Bye-bye.
