Hello everyone. My name is Ty and I'm from Vietnam. So my question is, what international holidays has your country adopted?
Well, I would say it is Halloween and Christmas. Vietnam is a Buddhist country, so obviously we are not Christian. The majority of the country's ... We are Buddhist. So I guess the reason why we adopted these international Western holidays is because it is celebrated all around the world and we think that it's just very fun things to do. So for example, Halloween we don't necessarily go to houses to have trick or treats, but we do consider it as a time to hang out with friends. Or even Christmas, we do have this big Christmas trees in the center of the city. So there are two reasons for it. So first is that we do cater for a small majority of Christians in our country, but secondly, it's just celebrated around the world and we find it, "Hey, let's just celebrate it." And I do want to mention that these two holidays are not official national holidays, but we do celebrate it yearly.
