Chris: Hi, my name is Chris. I'm from the United States.
Phoebe: Hi, my name is Phoebe and I'm from China.
Chris: Our question is should food have warning labels? I definitely think so. Think about all the awful things that are in food, especially processed food like high fructose corn syrup and other things that are so bad for you. I mean consumers need to be empowered by having access to this kind of information, don't you think so?
Phoebe: Yes, I think I totally agree with you but I think this kind of thing is they put labels only on the fast food but let's think in China you don't have a lot of fast food. You go to a restaurant, in China we like hot teas, hot soup and they bring you something really hot, they're not going to put a label on the bowl so sometimes you don't know you just drink it. One time what happened to me, my tongue was totally hurt and I couldn't enjoy the rest of the meal so what would you do in that case?
Chris: They could put the nutritional facts on the menu.
Phoebe: That might work.
Chris: Maybe that's a good idea.
