Learn Grammar Naturally
Grammar can be hard to study alone.
ELLLO is not mainly a grammar website. But ELLLO does something useful. It shows grammar in natural conversations.
Use Sound Grammar
ELLLO has a series called Sound Grammar. It has 125 grammar points:
- 25 grammar points for A1
- present simple, simple past, prepositions
- 25 grammar points for A2
- compartives, superlatives, conjunctions
- 25 grammar points for B1
- conditionals, basic clauses, present perfect tenses
- 25 grammar points for B2
- passive tenses, reflexive pronouns,
- 25 grammar points for C1
- relative clauses, noun clauses, passive modals
Each video has four short conversations. The speakers use the grammar in each conversation.
Read the script as you listen. The grammar examples are blue. You can see and hear how people use the grammar.
Read a short explanation
Click the grammar tab. Read the short explanation. It gives you the main idea and some useful examples.
Ask AI for help
You can also ask an AI tool to explain the grammar in your language.
For example, you can write: ‘Please explain English reflexive pronouns in Japanese. Use simple language.’
Then return to ELLLO. Listen to the grammar in the conversations.
Notice grammar many times
You cannot learn a grammar point from one lesson. First, learn its name. Learn its basic meaning. Then notice it when you listen and read.
Each time you meet the grammar, you will understand it better.
Use this simple plan:
- Learn the name of the grammar point.
- Read a simple explanation.
- See the examples in blue.
- Listen to the conversations.
- Notice the grammar in other lessons.
