Sarah / England
Is trash recycled in your country?
Hi, my name is Sarah. I come from England, and my question is trash recycled in your country?
So the answer to that is yes. We definitely do recycle in England. It is starting to thankfully get a lot more serious and, you know, people are really starting to recycle more, especially since now, I think that you can be fined quite a lot of money if you don't recycle properly in the U.K. As of now, I think we have three different types of trash that mainly get recycled: plastic, glass, and cardboard, I believe are the three different things that we recycle right now.
We also have, like, three different trash cans, which are different colors to help you remember which type of trash goes into which type of trash can. And yeah, then the garbage guy will come and collect it, take it away, and they are separated, which makes it easier to recycle and to better help the environment.
So yeah, we definitely do recycle in England.
