Do you think large charity organizations are effective?
Hi, I'm Alias. I'm in the United States. And my question is, do you think large charity organizations are effective?
I admire large charity organizations for what they do. People had to start them, they had to fund them, and they have to have a mission that's beneficial to humankind. I think they are very effective in the people that they help. Charities have undoubtedly helped, if not millions of people, tens of millions, hundreds of millions.
However, they can't do the big work. They can't do the largest jobs. Society and politics and the way things are structured, government down, needs to be structured in a way that helps people the way that charities have been set up to do.
Charities are a temporary solution to permanent problems. Charities are admirable, but they will just continue to take money, funnel them into these things that need them. But society needs to be structured in a way that charities don't need to exist, to help people without the need for people to donate, without the need for charity.
