Saif / Pakistan
Does social media make people more happy or less happy?
Hi, my name is Saif and I'm from Pakistan. And my question is, does social media make people more happy or less happy?
I believe that social media makes people happy for a limited time. And if the response is not continuous or prolonged, it makes people less happy. Social media presents a phenomena which combines happiness and sadness by way of likes, shares and comments. Thus, one's happiness or sadness is paramount on the number of hits your post receives. This way, a superficial ego bubble is created through social media, which the users strive to fill with active followers, and this makes them happy. Users conveniently share with the world only the exciting or the awe striking part of their lives. And the more the world likes their posts, the more they're happy.
