Splitting solves the opposite problem: sometimes you only want to share a couple of pages from a much larger PDF, like a 62-page book, without handing over the entire file. Splitting breaks a large PDF into individual pages, letting you pick out exactly the pages you need and recombine just those into a smaller, focused document.

How to use it

1. To merge PDFs: Go to iLovePDF and select Merge PDF. Click "Select PDF file" and choose the documents you want to combine. Once they're loaded, click Merge PDF, and download the finished, combined document.
2. To split a PDF: Select Split PDF and choose the large document you want to break apart. Go to Extract, then choose whether to pull out specific pages or split the whole document into individual pages, and click Split PDF.
3. Download your result. Either way, once the process is done, download the finished file — merged or split — directly to your desktop.
4. Combine split pages into a new document if needed.
